I finally finished my part of my lab work at Nara so I am finally able to get back to my blog.
The next morning, I decided to make a quick tour around Matsuyama.
Location: Ookaido Station. Before I continued my rail travel, I decided to do some sightseeing at the Matsuyama Castle.
The Matsuyama Castle is on top of Mount Shiroyama (Height: 131m). You can get there by either taking the gondola or the lift (same price for either transporation: One way- ¥260, Round trip- ¥500). I decided to take the lift on the way up.

The official mascot for the Matsuyama Castle "Yoshiaki-kun".

After touring the castle, I decided to take this down the mountain.
This is the "Botchan Ressha (Train)"- the steam locamotive that runs on the street car tracks. (Except this train is diesel-powered)

From Matsuyama-shi station, I took the Takahama-line to Komachi station, which is right next a train depot :). It's getting late so I'll continue writing about my train trip tomorrow. Good night.
