やった!8月6日東京発のムーンライトながら最後の指定席をゲット!! ミニ旅がすごく楽しみです。
Exciting news: I got the last reserved seat to the Moonlight Nagara (the midnight train running from Tokyo to Oogaki; very popular during summer season and it's pretty hard to get) departing Tokyo August 6th. I'm pretty excited for my upcoming trip.
少し時間がありましたので路面電車(岡山電気軌道)を見に行きました。
I had a couple minutes to kill at Okayama Station so I decided to go see the Street Car.
岡山駅に戻り、特急やくも19号(岡山16:50発)に乗車することにしました。

人生に一度は381系には乗りたかったです。
I wanted to ride the JR West series 381 at least once in my life and I finally got the chance.
11分後に倉敷駅到着。短いたびだったけどよかったです。やっぱり381系の貫通扉に萌えます。
Arrived at Kurashiki Station 11 minutes later. Short trip but it was worth it. Lastly, I think the door (that could be used as a passage) on the front of type 381 is quite fascinating.
車窓から水島臨海鉄道を撮りました。(キハ52系ではなかったので残念でした。)
I quickly took the Mizushima Waterfront Rail from the interior of the Sun Liner. (I was disappointed that the train type wasn't JNR series kiha-52)
You can see the Local Train (JR West type 113) platform from the elevated Shinkansen platform.
500系のぞみ!!! 平成22年2月28日以来、500系新幹線は全列車こだま号になり、16両編成から短い8両編成になりました。このシーンはもう見られないでしょう。
This is the Nozomi Shinkansen operated by JR West 500 Series, type W with 16 cars. The last 500 series Nozomi Run took place on February 28, 2010. Since then, the 500 series type W were modified and shortened to 8 cars and only operates as the Kodama Express (the Shinkansen that stops at all stations on the Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen).

当時最新型新幹線700系。数年後にはもうN700Aに置き換えられる計画もありますね。早すぎます。
Here we have the 700 series Shinkansen, the newest model at the time (N700 series Shinkansen began its operation shortly after). In a few years, the 700 series will be replaced by N700A series.
隣の福山駅へ下車その後のひかりレールスターを乗車し広島へ向かいました。0系に乗車したのはこれで最後です。
I got off at the next stop at Fukuyama Station to transfer to the Hikari Railstar (the faster train). This was the last I took the 0 series before it retired in 2008.
広島全日空ホテル シングルルームホテル部屋で荷物をおろした後、水泳とジムで体を鍛えました。その後部屋に戻り寝ました。

After I arrived at my hotel, I worked out at their gym, swam a few laps at their pool, and went straight to bed.
